Design and Build
Getting started
The process of getting your orangery or conservatory designed and built usually starts with a telephone conversation in which you tell us what you are looking to achieve.
We’ll talk you through the design and material options and we will also try to give you some indication of likely cost.
At the end of the conversation, if you wish, we will make an appointment for our designer to visit you at home to discuss the project in greater detail. There is no cost for this consultation.
How we help
Our bespoke design services
It might sound something of a cliché, but every conservatory and orangery really is unique. Designs may be similar in style but each client’s requirements and preferences are always entirely unique to them.
We will also discuss any statutory requirements such as Planning Consent, Building Regulations and any Conservation issues.
How we help
Introducing our quotation process
After the first visit we will prepare a design sketch based on our discussion; plus a detailed specification and quotation. This initial proposal will usually be delivered personally by the designer.
We recognise that the purchase of a new orangery or conservatory is a considerable investment and it is important to get the detail right.
We fully expect to have several meetings with you before the final design and specification evolves.
Listed Buildings & Conservation Areas
Our experienced designers and consultants will help you navigate the regulations associated with owning a Listed Building or living in a Conservation area.
Aluminium
When timber isn’t a pre-requisite, aluminium is another popular choice.
Advanced thermal separation technology combined with the appropriate balance of heating and ventilation has done away with condensation running in free flow down aluminium frames.
Being available in a rainbow of colours, aluminium certainly lends itself to contemporary, innovative and minimalist design.
Timber
The majority of our conservatories and orangeries are constructed in timber (including, a range of hardwoods, Siberian Larch, oak or engineered timber).
If your property already has wood framed windows, hardwood is going to be the likeliest material to complement the existing architecture.
How we help
The last word in advanced conservatory and orangery glazing
By combining self-cleaning, solar control, with the most advanced low emissivity (‘Low E’) double glazed units, we can ensure you enjoy year-round comfort, whatever the weather.
As effective as high performance glass is, it is important to combine its use with appropriate heating and ventilation.
How we help
The benefits of working with us on your project
We’re proud to offer the most complete solution imaginable. There’s no need to contact plumbers, electricians or builders to make sure they will be on-site, and our project manager will take care of everything for you.
All works are covered under one comprehensive warranty. In the unlikely event you should encounter any problems with any elements of your orangery or conservatory during or after completion of the installation, these will be dealt with professionally and promptly, so you never need worry.
The all-in-one package
Many of our clients prefer to have a package that means we take care of everything, including all associated building works, electrics, heating, flooring and all planning and building regulations applications.
Our services
Project management
Once you have placed your order, our project manager will undertake a full survey of the construction site.
If Planning or Building Regulations applications are required, we will produce all necessary drawings and submit the applications.
The task of the project manager is to coordinate the various tradespeople, and to ensure the smooth running of the entire build process.
They’ll keep you informed of the schedule of works at all times, advise you of any changes and minimise disturbance to your household life. You’ll have their office number, mobile number and email address, so it’ll always be simplicity itself to keep in touch.
Do you have your own architect or builder?
Warranty

We will be very happy to quote to extend the service for a further period.
