Orangery Extension in Surrey

The brief was to extend the kitchen and dining room on the left and add a reading/study area to the drawing room on the right.

The bay and the two windows to the left of the bay are removed, as is the internal wall separating the existing kitchen and dining room, providing a very generous kitchen, dining and socialising space spilling out through the French doors onto the patio.

The reading/study section of the orangery is set back approximately 450mm from the kitchen/dining area. Internally the two rooms are linked by French doors set in a dividing wall.

The sliding sash windows and the reconstituted stone external cills and eave detail featured on the house are replicated on the orangery.

The two lanterns ensure not only light, bright rooms for the orangery but also flood light back into the house.

We hope you agree the orangery is a glorious addition to this already substantial Surrey home.
